By the end: You can turn a classical rule into a testable question, build and analyse a dataset honestly, read the classical texts closely and write up your findings.
Who it is for: Students who have finished the Advanced level. Admission is by application, in small cohorts with a mentor.

5.1 Foundations of research in Jyotish
Testable and untestable claims, common biases, key past studies and research ethics.

5.2 Data: sources, quality and ethics
Building a clean dataset of birth charts, grading birth-data reliability and handling privacy.

5.3 Statistics for astrologers
Base rates, control groups, significance and the multiple-comparison trap, in plain language.

5.4 Designing a study
Turning a classical rule into a precise hypothesis, sample size, blinding and a one-page study plan.

5.5 Studying the classical texts
Reading key verses in Sanskrit with commentaries, comparing variants and citing properly.

5.6 Running the study and analysing results
Running a plan unchanged, reading results honestly and reporting negative results.

5.7 Writing and presenting, and the capstone
Paper structure, honest limitations, peer review and the mentor-graded capstone.
Every section: presentation, subject material, a 20-question test, and your result. Pass mark 60 out of 100; repeat until you pass.
